Results of tests carried out in Germany to determine the corrosionresistance of steel wire rope aircraft bracing cables with avariety of end fittings and metallic coatings are given. Tensile tests showed that sleeve fittings in connection with zinc coated cable achieved 100% efficiency. The advantages of soldered terminalover splices is also discussed.
