Description
The understanding of the dishomogeneity of deformation during the wiredrawing of a rod is developed on the basis of the fundamental concept of the crystal lattice distortion. A mathematical model has been developed and validated by microhardness measurements and by electron back scattering diffraction analysis on the whole wiredrawn section obtained by interrupted deformation steps. Good forecasting results have been obtained, so the lattice distortion sub-routine can be applied for description of an even more complex shaped section.
