Today the Finite Element Analysis is used in nearly all industries as it helps to develop, understand, and optimise the manufacturing process in the design stage. There is a huge potential for this “black art” also in wire rolling, but due to the complexity of the process, this technology is only used in a few companies. An important aspect is of course the use of new, complex materials. The key for an easy and effective use of simulation technology also in the wire rolling industry is an integrated CAE solution offering a seamless link between design and simulation.
