Development of a device to detect chevron cracks in high carbon wire in drawing process

$15.00

It is difficult to detect the existence of internal defects such as segregation, nonmetallic inclusions or chevron cracks throughout the entire length of drawn wire. In order to solve the problem of internal defection, Kobe Steel has developed a device that detects chevron cracks in wires during drawing. The device is applied to actual drawing lines where vibration, high temperature and dust are inevitable.
