Presented is a new plenum cable insulated with 36431 PVC insulation and jacketed with a fiberglass barrier and two tapes of Kapton. This new PVC insulation is similar in both electrical and physical properties of PVC telecommunication insulation. Tables of comparison for physical, and electrical properties for both standard PVC and 36431 PVC insulation are given, along with test methods employed.
