Development of a new wire rod mill bevel roll mill II

$15.00

The paper reports on the progress in the development of the bevel roll mill since its invention. A design concept of a new mill for manufacturing stainless steel wire of 3mm dia. From 5.5mm dia. Rod at a speed of about 1000m/min is presented. More detailed rolling characteristics for the bevel rolling process are clarified analytically and experimentally. A new analytical method for steady- state metal formings, combined numerical analysis (CAN) has been developed.
