Development of a waterproof crosslinked polyethylene cable

$15.00

A waterproof XLPE cable, in which a laminated tape composed of lead (thickness of several tens of microns) and plastics is bonded to the cable core, a method which is superior to that of the extrusion metal sheath and also provides sufficient waterproofing, has been developed. Resultant test data regarding water permeability, corrosion rates, and mechanical properties of this experimental laminated tape that is bonded to the cable core are given.
