Development of PVDF for use in Limited Combustible fiber optic cables

$15.00

New PVDF products were developed using flame-retardant technologies developed for the copper cable industry, but were later modified to accommodate the specific needs of a fiber optic cable product. The newest PVDF materials have been shown to provide ultra low-smoke properties as well as contributing low potential heat values. This paper introduces the newest technologies in PVDF insulation products with ultra low-smoke generation properties as well as low heat-release in the event of a fire.
