Wiredrawing dies are one of the most vital and critical parts of the wiredrawing industry. For drawing quality wire at the lowest die cost per ton of wire drawn, proper selection, maintenance, and inventory management of dies is essential. Failure to do so will add not only to direct cost but more to indirect cost by way of rejection of wire due to poor surface quality, inaccuracy, and proper metallurgical properties as well as machine downtime and consequent loss of production.
