This paper examines dosing, gravimetric dosing, and efficient production achieved both with and without process change. It shows how new liquid material formulations like Silan and Peroxid can be applied via in-situ mixing technology to enable cable manufacturers to be independent of compound suppliers. For those manufacturers who are not changing their process, gravimetric dosing helps greatly to increase extrusion efficiency.
