Description
The ASTM Conventional, ASTM Compressed, ASTM Compact and True compact strands of 7-wire strands are compared using ‘fill factor’ and inner and outer gaps. The Double Twist Stranding System (a Ceeco patented process) manufacturing methods are compared with those of traditional tubular stranding systems, with the former representing substantial cost savings. ‘C’ Pac and ‘T’ Pac compact strand using the Double Twist technology represent an opportunity to achieve savings and quality, the author concludes.
