Drawing stainless steel microwire of 400 to 600 µm

$15.00

Micro-shaped wiredrawing such as round-to-hexagon and round-to-square drawing has been investigated based on the results of experiments and FE-simulations. Optimization for reduction per pass and die angle in drawing was performed, enabling the authors to fabricate micro square wire and micro hexagon wire, with diameters of 400 and 600 µm, respectively. The authors clarified, from FE-simulation and experiments, the necessary drawing conditions for getting micro-shaped wire with good dimensional accuracy and quality.
