Drawn bars: influence of straightening conditions

$15.00

The working parameters of a rolling machine with two hyperbolic rolls were varied in order to get the characteristics required by product specifications. The tests were repeated with materials different from standard production and with modifications to the die alignment. A link was established between the machine adjustment parameters, the chemical composition of the materials, and the expected reduction of the tensile properties, thus confirming the influence of the application of cyclic loads while the bar passes through the rolls.
