An Easy-Strip insulation shield was developed to met the utilities’ and cable manufacturers’ demand of a semi-conductive insulation shield which can be stripped off the insulation at a lower strip force range. This facilitates easier cable termination, splicing and connection in the field giving minimum damage to the cable. Therefore, the reliability of the distribution systems will be improved.
