Effort and fracture of wire in the drawing process

$15.00

Drawing rope wires from wire rod steel grades D55 and D75, patented and Stelmor control cooled, is presented. A constant total reduction effect of different values of single reductions 18, 24 and 30 percent on the effort ratio of drawn wires has been determined. A concept of efficiency ratio of the process has been useful to estimate the drawing schedule. It has been proven that the increase of the ratio of the strength reserve and the increase of the number of draws reduces the efficiency ratios of the drawing process.
