Electron beam crosslinkable thermoplastic polyurethane (Zylon™EBXL-TPU)-a new material for wire and cable jackets

$15.00

Thermoplastic polyurethanes are tough, high strength (plastic) materials often used for wire and cable jackets. Their usefulness has been somewhat limited by poor solvent resistance and reduced performance at elevated temperatures. A new polymer-Zylon™ EBXL-TPU (patentpending)-overcomes these limitations by using electron beam (or gamma) irradiation to convert the thermoplastic polyurethane (plastic) to thermoset polyurethane (rubber).
