This paper discusses lubricant design considerations for global markets. Strong emerging markets and a global economy combined with increased regulation have made the process of formulating new metalworking lubricants challenging. Faster speed, better quality, more consistent performance, and cleaner machines are the primary drivers for product development. Newer, more sophisticated machines demand more sophisticated lubricants.
