Description
The American Standard Specifications for copper rod (ASTM B49) are compared with the drafts recently prepared in the working groups of the European Committees for Standardization (CEN), who is developing the specifications for the European Common Market. The increasing demand, from the copper rod consumers in Europe, for precise and detailed Quality Systems will greatly influence the rod production philosophy. The effect of the ISO 9000/9002 Standards dealing with Quality Management and Quality Assurance will be discussed.
