The effects on hydrogen embrittlement of inhibitors used in sulfuric acid pickling of mild steel are discussed. Only eight of the 15 inhibitors tested prevented embrittlement, and only four of these functioned properly. The results of these studies are compared to the results of studies on stainless steel pickling presented in part one of this series. Second of two parts.
