Evolution of cold mechanical deformation in carbon steel wires

$15.00

In the field of smooth wire production the main advantage of rolling over drawing is the drastic reduction of downtime due to a lesser need for change of the reduction mean and therefore higher wire output (rolls over dies). In reinforcing wire production, stretching reduces the power requirement and leaves the wire with a higher ductility compared to cold rolling, allowing the creation of construction steel particularly adapted for anti-seismic applications and fire/blast/shock protection.
