Description
In small diameter wire, tilting may be generated during Roller Die Drawing (RDD). This can result in imprecise wire diameter sizes, wrinkling, and overfilling. To eliminate tilting, this paper focuses on the distance between adjacent rollers. It was found that there was a minimum distance between adjacent rollers to prevent tilting. In order to benefit small-diameter wire of material with restrictive formability, the authors developed a new RDD structural design with extremely closely positioned rollers.
