A new, 102-ft long, continuous pusher-type furnace for spheroidizing steel coil stock is described. Constructed by the Surface Combustion Div of Midland-Ross Corp, and implemented by Chicago Screw, the furnace has six temperature zones heated by suction type radiant tubes. Better finishes are obtained at lower costs.
