Fatigue of Copper-clad steel conductor used in telephone drop wire-annealing studies

$15.00

This paper investigates fatigue life values obtained of copper-clad annealed steel conductor used in telephone drop wires. The presence or absence of lead-brass flash coat had no effect on fatigue behavior, but two bending strain level tests; Kenyon test (constant curvature over length tested) and Haigh-Robertson or Hunter machine (rotating Euler column) produced varying results. The tests are described in detail.
