Fatigue tests carried out to determine the endurance limits of zinc coated steel wires of three different strengths, and to determine the effects of the hot dip galvanizing process and the thickness of zinc coating on endurance limit, are described. Photomicrographs taken in an effort to determine factors affecting the fatigue properties are also presented.
