FE-analysis for multistage shape drawing for linear-motion guide rails

$15.00

This paper describes 3-D FE-simulation and experiments that clarified optimum multistage shape drawing conditions that achieved high dimensional accuracy of stainless and titanium linear-motion guide rails. Optimum conditions could be found by FE-simulation examination of distribution of equivalent plastic strain and residual stress and by filling material into the die hole. Then Vickers hardness distribution was examined in cross-section, and it agreed with strain distribution by FE-simulation.
