Description
An overview of filtering solid contaminants from wiredrawing compound and problems related to the filtering process is presented. A state-of-the -art system for contaminant removal at Auburn Wire Inc., Hyannis Mass., is outlined. Each of the three similar systems installed by Polyclon Inc., filters 98 percent of all solids down to 5 microns in size. Dry solid filtering is explained in addition. Recommendations in selection of a filter system for a wiredrawing plant close the article.
