Description

Improved equipment for filtration and recycling of wiredrawing coolants is needed by wire manufacturers throughout the industry. Disposal as well as coolant replacement cost is two to four times as expensive as in years past due to the environmental impact of these fluids and the increased awareness of the general public. A new centrifugal clarifier, which combines filter efficiency on high viscosity liquids as well as automatic discharge of metallic fines in a reasonably coolant free state, is explained in this paper.
