A cabling machine developed by Northern Electric using computer aided design is described. Machine fexibility was achieved with a 96 inch shaftless rotating core, 18 inch cradle planetary carriage, two-pad eccentric taping head, shaftless 96 inch rotating uptake, and efficient machine drives and reel loading.
