This paper will describe a rare process in which carbon steel wire rods proceed rapidly, automatically, and continuously through a galvanizing and drawing process, non-stop. The process is pollution-free, energy-efficient, and requires only one operator, substantially less than the traditional multi-step processes for galvanizing wire. The integration of continuous rod payoff, blast cleaning, induction heating, MHD galvanizing, quenching, wiredrawing, and coiling or spooling, provide an efficient continuous process for galvanized wire manufacture.
