Hardening mechanism in 17-7 PH stainless steel

$15.00

The relationship between the metallurgical reactions that occur during the aging treatments of 17-7 PH stainless steel and the accompanying changes in mechanical properties were investigated. Increased hardening resulted from precipitation of extremely fine particles of ordered ferrite during heating. Tests are described.
