Heat aging character of cross-linked polyethylene was compared with polyethylene polymer, and the effects of antioxidant addition were also observed. The extension of the induction period through addition of antioxidants, interaction between organic peroxide and antioxidants during the crosslinking reaction, and effectiveness of antioxidants are considered.
