Helicord—a novel method of achieving excellent sliding properties of wire, conductors, and cables

$15.00

Wire, conductors, and cables often need post-production surface treatment to achieve good sliding properties. Excellent sliding properties of PTFE are well known, but PTFE dispersions are difficult to handle because their instability under shear stress does not allowing metering by pumps with valves and flaps, which would be clogged by coagulated particles. Using a shear-stress-free metering device, Helicord takes advantage of said shear sensitivity in polishing PTFE onto the surface, achieving sliding properties close to straight PTFE.
