The design features of a high convection atmosphere bell-type furnace plant, is described and compared to the hot vacuum furnace and the traditional bell-type furnace. Tests and resulting improvements incorporated into the high convection furnace are listed. Improvements are; temperature uniformity, shorter furnace times, and freedom from decarburization. Costs of this nitrogen base system further expand on test details.
