The application of recently developed techniques such as electronic control sytems, remote control, new bearing technology, and human factor engineering allowed the Bekaert Steel Cord Division to start from scratch in production of a new double twist buncher. The new machine allows for optimum viewing by the operator. For the same man-load, productivity increased 18%, while cost decreased 10%. Machine parameters are described.
