This paper describes the practical aspects of high speed curing using a novel microwave powered UV system. Unlike other designs, the cable runs inside rather than outside the microwave cavity. The elimination of exposing through an RF screen significantly reduces light losses and the closer proximity to the cable provides the required intensities and dose levels for efficient curing.
