The eddy current method provides a rapid, reliable, problem and economic non-destructive testing of bar and wire from the very earliest stages of production, the hot rolling mill for example. By combining proven eddy current sensor technology with modern high speed computer evaluation, a viable method for rapid evaluation of the test results is available to allow the test to become an integral part of the production process itself.
