How drawing lubricants affect adhesion of rubber to brass plated tire cord wire

$15.00

A description is presented of tests designed to determine an optimum lubricant for the final drawing of the brass-plated wire used in steel corded and belted radial tires. The ideal lubricant should give optimum die life and not be detrimental to the wire-rubber bond. A formulation known as 1250-C was considerably less detrimental to adhesion than the other materials listed.
