The process of earning certification in the UL Category Performance program can be difficult. This paper is intended to help companies enter this program with a minimum of difficulty with respect to UL’s procedures required for certification. Detail is given with regard to submitting an application to prepare for, go through, and pass an ISO-9002 level audit, how to submit the necessary paperwork and samples for testing, and how to request the final certification for production.
