Improvement of straightness in coiled bar with roller leveler straightener

$15.00

Roller leveler straightening is a popular and effective method for coiled bar because of its simple mechanical structure. When the authors fed a curved bar into a roller leveler straightener, they easily achieved excellent straightness, but with a straightness limit. The purpose of this study is to diminish the limit on straightness of coiled bar. The authors found that the limit decreased with improved roller arrangements and control of roller intermesh. The intermesh and the approach angle were effective in improving straightness.
