The wire industry has changed significantly in the past 10 years. The installation of 7-wire, 14-wire and more recent 21-wire multi-wire drawing machines has dramatically changed the rod quality expectations of wire manufacturers. High-speed data wire and telecom cable manufacturers have increased their demands as they have moved from Cat 3 to Cat 5 and recently introduced Cat 6 and 7.
