In-line cleaning of steel core wire for the manufacture of aluminum clad steel wire

$15.00

This paper describes a wire cleaning system that incorporates neutral salt water electrolysis coupled with high frequency focused ultrasound, which has been a proven process to provide exceptional cleaning of the steel core wire prior to in-line aluminum cladding. With several installations worldwide, the system has been proven to outperform conventional wire cleaning systems, thus improving quality and productivity. As an added benefit, the system does not require the use of hazardous acids or caustics.
