This work analyzes the drawing process using 2.5-mm diameter wires from four steel grades, D6.2, St1-X, C1016 and C1008, for the production of nails 2.5X55 with conical heads—flat and checkered. Results obtained from the tests for determining mechanical and technological property values of a new quality indicator have been calculated, which permit classifying wires for the production of these nails.
