The effect of the drawing direction on mechanical, technological and fatigue resistance of wires has been investigated. It has been proven that during the drawing of high-carbon steel rope wires, a change of the drawing direction in the last or two penultimate draws keeps the mechanical properties similar to wires drawn unidirectionally.
