Influence of non-metallic inclusions in high- and low-carbon wire rod on workability during wiredrawing and on mecahnical properties of product

$15.00

A phase analysis technique was developed for the extraction and identification of non-metallic oxide inclusions in steel rod. Bromomethanol isolation, chlorine vacuum treatment of residue, burning of carbon and removal of amorphous silicic acid are described. Influence of inclusions on die wear and mechanical properties is considered.
