Investigations of alternate acids for use in acid tin plating

$15.00

Acid tin plating is often accomplished using sulfonic acid as an integral part of the electrolyte. Phenol sulfonic acid suffers from some environmental issues and methane sulfonic acid is somewhat expensive. Alternate electrolytes are being studied that can provide the functionality of the phenol or methane sulfonic acids. This paper will discuss those alternate materials.
