Investigations of the aging process of high carbon steel spring wires

$15.00

For an estimation of a progress in the aging process a new quality parameter “W” has been proposed, calculated as a ratio of tensile strength to number of twists Rm/Nt. It has been confirmed that this parameter is more sensitive for determination of progress in the process of aging than tensile strength and number of twists separately. With the increase in the period of aging the tensile strength increases and number of twists decreases, but the percentage of this increase depends on the steel grade.
