With DrySil, a new way to X-link PE has been found. Initially foamed pellets are made. They are then soaked with a silane mixture. These pellets are dry and free-flowing, and thus can be conveyed into an extruder, very much like a masterbatch. Therefore, the difficult handling of hazardous liquids and ‘overlong’ 30 D extruders belongs to the past. The DrySil process is easy, simple and safe.
