The lubrication requirements for using hard Krupp metal Un-Widia dies, which require increased drawing block rpm’s, are discussed. A formula for a lubricant containing soap and beef tallow is given. A formula for a solvent, which when added to the lubricant prevents packing, welding and sticking, is also presented.
