Manufacture and application of copperclad wire

$15.00

The use of copperclad wires for use in lamps, resistors, and diodes is discussed from the perspective of manufacturing methods and applications. The two major types of copperclad wires are ‘Dumet’ and copperclad steel with low carbon steel core and copper cladding. Each of the seven common manufacturing processes is described briefly. The application of,and reasons for using, Dumet in lead wires for lamps is illustrated as is the use of both Dumet and copperclad steel wires.
