For many years it has been very popular to cover MV, HV and EHV cables with extruded lead or aluminum or with longitudinal applied Al/PE tapes. The requirements are changing all the time and nowadays the target is more and more to serve manufacturing solutions which give the possibility to produce cables with better properties, which are more environmental friendly, more flexible and cheaper.
